I started the “Aixin School of Central Indiana” in January 2007.  It is a bi-weekly Chinese language/culture class for local families with adopted children from China.  These children are mostly girls from ages 3 to 10.  The class is held at a local church. 

“Aixin” stands for “Heart of Love” in Chinese.  It obviously takes a big heart of love for these families to go to China and adopt.  Many of these children, their siblings, parents, and even grandparents all have a great desire to learn about the language and culture of China.  My class provides a great opportunity for them to be exposed to all things Chinese, and have a chance to interact with other Chinese adoption families in the area.  We also have a Yahoo Group “Aixin School of Central Indiana” with our curriculum posted online.
